Are you afraid of success so much that you have allowed failure to slide right in so that your outsides can match your insides?
And yet, you KNOW you are destined for greatness.
I ask – whose fear is imprinted onto you?
Do you carry someone else’s fear of your success?
In the Chinese language, we address acquaintances with the words that English speakers reserve only for close family and friends – Auntie, Uncle, Big Sister, Little Brother, and even the word for Grandma is used when addressing older women.
I wonder, is this language used because the family unit was always supposed to be our community, our village? Were we supposed to have a wide network of Yee-Yee’s (Aunts) and Paw-Paw’s (Grandmas) who had a hand in raising our kids and supported one another?
Being present is the ultimate goal for all of our practices (whether that be yoga, meditation, art, relationships, eating, work, motherhood, etc.).
And it is where life appears to be most well lived.
The reality is that the Universe is a whole lot more creative than we are.
Most of us see limitations more than we see abundance, failures more than successes and heartbreak more than love.
But not the Universe.
She provides abundantly. And we can choose to see it as such as – it’s all a matter of perspective.
A river is limited by its borders but that doesn’t make it any less powerful. Instead it surges downstream, shaping the terrain and abundantly nourishing the river beds what others would see as limitations restricting her flow.
Where do you see your flow being cut off?
Are those actually sources of guidance?
