Sometimes if I can remember to take deep breaths and trust that life will fall gently around me, it will.

I shared with my oldest today that if you think something is true, it will likely be true. And if you think something is false, it will likely be false. (Not about actual facts but about social interactions and experiences.)

I have noticed that I consistently share some specific life lessons in the times I speak to my kids, and I wonder what will end up sticking with them. I hope that they will understand, above all else, our mindset is key to how our lives pan out.

And our mindset is moldable.

I write everyday because it allows me to voice what is at the surface. Once that is out of my head, I can dig in another layer deeper. My daily writing practice has been my greatest exploration of self and humanity. Sign up here to receive these thought nuggets in your inbox on the daily.
