My middle one was having a tough time with a Lego set today. They were frustrated and angry. I did my best to be the patient and encouraging mom as they got more and more upset.

And I said – you’ve never done this before. You will make mistakes and it’s okay to make mistakes. That’s the way you’ll be able to learn.

And doesn’t that apply to just about all of us?

We have never lived this life before so of course it will feel like we’re failing sometimes or that we are falling behind or that we are completely clueless.

Let’s cut ourselves some slack and realize that we are doing our best and since no one has ever done it before, we are living the best version of this iteration life that the world has ever seen.
