Writing fills my soul. It’s been my refuge from the storm of my world and my mind. It is the place where I can explore, say the things I have held in and create from nothing.

So I write.

I’ll write to the end of days and I’ll write today.

It’s the place I feel most myself. Perhaps that is how other artists feel. Their medium is where they feel most expressive, most confident, most within themselves. And perhaps those who don’t have art, who don’t have something to create can only find themselves in destruction.

I write everyday because it allows me to voice what is at the surface. Once that is out of my head, I can dig in another layer deeper. My daily writing practice has been my greatest exploration of self and humanity. Sign up here to receive these thought nuggets in your inbox on the daily.
