I read the past month’s blog posts to one of the kids tonight as our bedtime reading. They grinned whenever I made a mention of them in the post.
Everyone wants to feel seen, and I find, unlike adults, children are unabashedly forward about it. Mine even asked for me to read only the blog posts where they are mentioned.
So many of us spend our adulthood chasing that feeling of acknowledgment. And often, it’s because what happened in our childhood was insufficient.
What ways can you explore being seen? How can you do so unabashedly?
