When we are trying, we are not being.
Sometimes the pursuit of the thing that we think we are meant for and the thing that would lead us to our greatest life actually takes us even further from that life.
Because the pursuit is driven by a conditioned/unhealed part of us trying to make up for some sort of lack that we feel is within ourselves. This prevents us from simply being and allowing the Universe to bring the answers and opportunities to us. It clouds our judgment and makes us believe the answer is outside of us.
This is not an excuse to be “lazy” and sit around eating bon bon’s waiting for the Universe to plop down that best life on our laps (though sitting around eating bon bon’s is definitely part of my best life). It is simply a reminder that maybe things don’t have to be so hard and maybe we are the only ones making it so hard. To note – I’m not saying that we sit around and wait for the Universe to give us answers to the things that are so much bigger than us like wars, racism, economic/class/social issues, etc. I’m talking about what we are each seeking to pursue and create in this life. If we just be, the answers may simply present themselves to us.
I write everyday because it allows me to voice what is at the surface. Once that is out of my head, I can dig in another layer deeper. My daily writing practice has been my greatest exploration of self and humanity. Sign up here to receive these thought nuggets in your inbox on the daily.
