To my friend, a goal is exciting, something to look forward to, something to happily cross off the list.
To me, a goal is an indication of what I am lacking, a cringeworthy reminder of how far I have to go.
Multiple truths exist. While my POV on goals may feel unmovable, I know I get to choose which of the two I want to land in and it’s up to me to work towards it.
Now that’s a worthy goal.
