On the path, we start off as reluctant revolutionaries.
Revolutionary because we see something that needs to be changed and we want to be part of the change.
Reluctant because a part of us does not want to be the instigator of the change. That part of us is ingrained in our internal belief system and patterning which hold us back from making our true impact on the world. We may want to completely revolutionize how birth is done in our country but the inability to put ourselves out there in order to gather support, raise funds and get our message out will hold us back.
The thing with our internal patterning is that it doesn’t hold us back entirely. We take two steps forward and then the patterning takes us one step back. It is an internal battle to try to make progress and get to the next step. The reluctance is taking that one step back because our patterning and conditioning do not feel safe as the revolutionary.
In order to change the world, we’ve got to move from reluctant to resolute. It is the only way we can sustainably make an impact.
