We used to trust ourselves wholly. But over our lifetime, we were taught and directed to look for knowledge, directions and guidance outside of us. Other people supposedly know better about what we should do, eat and think than we do.
The path back to trusting ourselves happens in drips. The more we practice, the louder our inner voice is, drowning out the voices of our inner critic and all of the other critics we collected over the years.
Get quiet and listen. You’re in there waiting to be heard.
A daily practice challenges the person who creates on “inspiration.” We have to mother everyday, and ultimately, it is the daily grind that gives us perspective, clarity and the “high’s” of motherhood.
