Mothers are hardly the protagonists. Instead, we play strong supporting roles in the background or behind stage.
Some of us are too weary to play the main character.
Some of us are taught it is not okay to want to be and to claim that space.
Some of us are told to occupy our time with mundane tasks that we forget we can be the protagonist.
Consider this your invitation to come on stage. You deserve the starring role. You deserve to experience the limelight and shine.
I agree and think there should be some balance between playing a protagonist and supporting role for them. How else would they be role model for their daughters who will be mothers in future
Yes! That’s one of the biggest drivers for me personally. Right now, mothers are always in the supporting role or behind stage unseen as the director or tech hand. I’m not sure we could say to them enough that they have the right to be the protagonist.
