With hundreds of “friends” on Facebook, constant pings of likes and follows on Instagram and tags in articles on LinkedIn, we are living in an age of overconnected-ness – empty calories of “relationships” that don’t feed us on any real level.
The village of yesteryear was limited in number but expansive in the space held for true vulnerability. What was seen weren’t glossy highlight reels of our lives but the moments that were embarassing, teachable, and heart opening.
In this age of overconnected-ness, how do we get back to that? It starts with us. Starting with true vulnerability and examination of our fears, passions and hopes. Then connect with an open heart willing to share theirs.
