Sights: sunsets, my kids’ faces, an embodied dancer
Sounds: baby and children’s laughter, ocean waves, an orchestra
Smells: my mom’s cooking, sun showers, leaves decomposing
Tastes: my mom’s cooking, cappuccino, papaya with lime
Sensations: sheets against bare skin, a hot shower on a cold day, hugs
Feelings: eureka moments, being taken care of, thrill of solving a problem
This list’s items evoke either comfort or inspiration which I constantly ricochet between. I am drawn more towards inspiration but I know I need more moments of comfort and settling in and home.

A daily practice challenges the person who creates on “inspiration.” We have to mother everyday, and ultimately, it is the daily grind that gives us perspective, clarity and the “high’s” of motherhood. I am exploring if the same happens when I write everyday on the topics that normally light me up – motherhood, self-development, healing and creating.
